The selection of the LAA ‘Artist of the Month’ is by application presented to the AOM Chair who brings it to the LAA Board for approval. Those artists selected as Artists of the Month are expected to be LAA members in good standing and each will participate as an active LAA volunteer throughout the year.

Artists will be assigned a month to exhibit at the Plantation Club Gallery, having fulfilled all requirements of the Artist of the Month selection criteria.

All artwork, even when sold, will remain on exhibit until the “take down” at the end of the exhibition. LAA provides red dots to show “sold”, or artist may indicate “sold” at their personal discretion, but the work must remain on display or be replaced immediately by the artist with another piece.
The LAA hosts a reception in honor of the AOMs on the first Thursday of the exhibition month. From 5-6:30 PM. The reception consists of a members’ bar with cheese and fruit buffet courtesy of the LAA. The reception is promoted by the LAA in various media. In addition, AOM artists are encouraged to personally invite friends and neighbors to attend.
